Chin athletes to compete in SEA Games in Singapore Featured

14 May 2015 -- At least five Chin athletes have been confirmed to represent Burma in the upcoming 28th Southeast Asian Games to be held in Singapore from 5 to 16 June.

Mai Yaw Shing Ya, Mai San Yu Htwe, both from Mindat, and Mai Hla Hla San, of the Asho Chin tribe, will participate in archery, according to the Chin World Media.

And Salai Tluang Hup Thang, from Thantlang Township, will play football whilst Mai Nelly Bawi Nei Sin, from Falam, is to contest the women's boxing.

With athletes from 11 countries, 36 sports, distributed over 402 events, will feature in the 28th SEA Games Singapore 2015, according to the official SEA Games website.#
